Hey: I tried putting my tranny halves together without any gears so I could trial fit it into my Rustler chassis. I found one of the bolts holes not drilled to the correct size. I fixed it. Then my a-arm pins would not fit through tne mounts due to a machining burr inside all 4 holes, so I fixed them also. Next I assembled the tranny with the gears installed and the two halves would not come together. I ended up shortening my idler gear shaft about .030" and that worked. Fortunatly these fixes were quite easy for me. Now with all of that said, the tranny is a piece of art and it's much quieter than the plastic one.

O.K. So I ordered and received a second tranny housing for my son's Rustler and quess what. Everything was machined. All the holes were drilled to the correct size and my idler gear shaft fit without cutting it.
