I got the extended A-arm kit for my Electric Rustler XL-5. I think I have figured out where all the parts go by process of elimination. But am having problems with the extensions for the camber and steering links. It comes with the arms, but does not have the links for the ends. I found a suggestion for a Traxxas part for the links off this forum and got them, but the threads do not match. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Which rod ends did you get? I'm guessing you accidently got a maxx or revo rod end.

Any stock rustler rod end will work.

I got Traxxas part 1942, but I compared the rods to the steering turnbuckle and the threads are noticably different. And of course the electric Rustler does not have an adjustable camber link to compare to.

Have you tried using them though?

Its ok. to re-thread the turnbuckles, but if the rod ends are 2 large in diameter then yes you have a problem.

If the turnbuckles are to large, then you just simply need to use some elbow great and re-thread the rod ends. Add a drop of lube on the threads to make it alittle easier. If you still can't get them to thread, slightly drill out the rod end (just slightly) to make it an easier fit.

LMK what you come up with.

My initial attempts at getting them rethreaded have not been successful. I will try again when I have time to sit down and work on it, but this is so frustrating. I would think that they would have been treaded to fit a specific end. Somebody should know which part that is? I would much rather get the correct part than jury rig something together.

Sorry for the confusion, but it seems it would be appropriate to have the rod ends available. We will try and get some large quantities so we can have them available.

The stock rod ends are not threaded at all when you purchase them new. They need to be formed by threading the rod end into them.
