I have purchased every FLM part (except the frame) for my 2000 Rustler. I picked up a new '06 chassis on EBay to put some of the new parts I just got (Tranny, extended arms), and to move over the rest of the old stuff. The plate that holds the tranny and arm mounts does not fit the '06 pan. The molded in studs for the shock tower are in the way. I am going to take the '00 apart and see if it fits. Question: Do I Dremmel the old chassis (if needed) and continue the build? OR... Dremmel the plate to fot the new '06 chassis? I really don't want to dremmel the '06. I will also need to drill four (4) holes in the pan for the plate. (Note: They are not the 4 factory holes that you use to atach the arm mounts to the plate). Maybe those four are enough, but it doesn't seem right. The tranny seems to stick every few turns and there is way too much slop on the slipper clutch... it moves left and right a lot.

For the chassis: I have not put a tranny on the new chassis so I have no solution for that problem. But if you need to remove a little mat'l from either one it should not be a problem. It will not affect the warranty on our part. I will need to look into this, as the tranny was built around the older chassis. We will correct any issues at that time. As for the sticking: we have seen this before and do not think it is an issue on our end. The gears are cast and are not perfectly round and occassionally we have heard about them binding. We have run a steel idler and eliminated any issues. For the slop in the slipper: Did you make sure you installed the teflon washers on each side of the idler gear? Because this could cause some problems. It may also cause the sticking on the gears. Let me know.

| To fix the slop in mine I added a teflon washer inside the trany to tighten it up. Its been working fine, they should be the same washers that go on your axles next to the bushings. You can use one of those if needed.

| The trany will fit the XL-5 Rustler chassis with a little modification. You have to trim some material out of the chassis so the trany will slide in place. Very easy to do with a dremel.
