I just installed the extended tvp's on my savage 4.6 The only things I had to custom was the dual disk brake upgrade had to be nothced for the extended drive shaft pins, had to drill two new holes in my roll bar to put screws in rear of battery box, and the only real problem I had was the fuel tank mounts set to close to engine and need to be moved back just a little to clear throttle linkage. Had to customize mounting brackets for tank, need to see if fast lane can make some new brackets for fuel tank to move it out and back just a little bit. These are great tvp's makes truck handle so much better. I can take some pictures and email you.

The best thing to do with the tank is to move it between the TVPs with our servo plate and using an 1/8 scale buggy tank. IMO

Good news we just completed a new motor plate for the LCGs and all TVPs.
I will have pics up sometime today.

this is what i did. the mid tank mod is the best mod any Savage owner can do IMHO. i did not go w/ a servo plate because the extended L.C.G TVPs come w/ new engine plate brackets that are notched for the new drive shaft clearance. well what you have left over are the 2 factory brackets & thats what i used to mount up the tank up front. i used servo mounts mounted to the TVPs & relocated the throttle servo to the rear. too bad the pics dont show up here. i will try to send a link to my photobucket. if it works just scroll down thru my other pics till you see the mad savage ;-)

I took the front tank mounting bracket and ground some off with dremal so it would set a little further out also worked on gas tank mount so throttle will clear. Was worried about bracket being weak but have took to the track a few times no trouble yet. Mounting buggy fuel tank up front is bad idea if racing beacause savege is nose heavy off jumps. Wish fastlane would make brackets to move tank back a 1/2 inch and also some kind of transponder holding brackets would be nice.
