We were not real sure how popular this would be. Had a few people ask about it. But we did not how much of a demand there would be.

One thing is for sure though, the Savage is a little top heavy, and having some wider arms would definately make it much more stable. So this is what convinced us to make the kit.

Let us know what you think.

Thanks.

The upper arms are done. Actually what we did was extend the part at the c-hub. So if anyone has our uppers already, all they would need is the threaded part.

We need to change the picture to reflect the change with the upper arms along with the price. For the price: just add the price of the arms and that would be it.
I will be updating the picture and price sometime today.

At the release of these arms, the stock adjustable upper arms were borderline for being able to work with the extended lower. So from feedback we recieved, it is necessary to include the upper arms to complete the arm conversion.

So for anyone that purchased the extended arm conversion before 11/29/05 we are offering the extended upper arms for $30.00 w/ free shipping. The offer is only good through us. So e-mail us for the details.

I recieved the package today, but it did not include the upper arms.
I ordered through the atomrcp website, but the fastlane machine adres was on the envelope. Who am i dealing with?
I know i recieved a mail (from atomrcp) that said that i was going to get the upper arms free of charge becouse i ordered them so fast (11-11-2005)
Or are they shipped seperatly?

Thanks, Kenny

Kenny,
Had to get that cleared up, your arms are being sent seperate.

Who do I deal with? It is technica; you deal with us, if it regards sale you deal with who you purchased it from.

Sorry for the delay.

No problem, i hope they arrive soon.
I just started fitting the lower arms with the use of modified stock upper arms, it works, but with flm uppers it will look way better i think
Everything seems to be very good quality, but i do hope the driveshafts will hold up to my STS.28 The hpi hd ones did not.
When was the second package send out?

Thanks a lot, Kenny

The arms are on their way.

For the driveshafts: They have a lifetime warranty. If you keep breaking them I am sure we can build one that won't break. But I do believe the ones we have a near bulletproof. So I do not think you will have any problems.

I have a question.
What is the size, on the end of dog bone? 8mm or 9mm like the stock savage dog bones?
thanks

We do not make or sell shocks at this time, but possibly in the future.

It depends on where you live. But your package will be leaving tomorrow. We basically shut the shop down for the Holidays (except for me), but I am having shipping come in tomorrow to take care of all orders.

Actually the ball diameter is 8mm on our dog bones. We changed this later on in production and did not have any issues with them this way.
We will be making drive cups in the future that will correct any issues with the Savage diff.
-------------------------------
I asked this question in two different places and got two different answers.

What is the size of the ball on the dog bone in the extended set? 8mm or 9mm

I just want to confirm that it is 8mm not 9mm.

This might work for the bashers out there but for us racers position is important, at least to me. The bone will flop around causing excessive friction and ware on both the diff cup and dog bone.

Thanks for all the cool parts.

Hello there, i was wondering how the turnbuckles work with the extended arms. Will we have to custom make our own or are they part of the hardware?

Well I got my extended arm kit and I have discovered that seeing how the dog bones are only 8mm and savage diff cups are 9mm, this is not too bad for the rear but for the front when at full turn they just about want to pop out. Also they sure do flop around allot front and rear.
My opinion should have stuck with 9mm so they fit flush and keep from flopping around in the diff cups. I suppose I could use rubber o ring or a spring to hold them in better. Any other ideas out there??

We debated wether or not we should make them 9mm or 8mm. But from measuring other types of dog bone set-ups the only difference from these compared to them was only about .01 from the diameter of the ball and the ID of the cup. So these were only .01 more.

If we get much negative feedback we will change them to 9mm.

I suppose another thing you could do is fit a washer on both sides of the pin to eliminate any unwanted slop. This would eliminate any side to side movement.

The turnbuckles are included with the kit. All you need to do is install the ends and you are good to go.

I used the Lunsford turnbuckles for the Savage and the stock ball ends. There the same length and are easy to adjust. Not that the set of turnbuckles that came the kit were no good, just too difficult to adjust with no wrench section.
