| The problem is your dynamite CVD's, They are a bit shorter then the MIP's and UE's so you either need new CVD's or you will need to trim down your arms about 1/8". I trimed my arms down and havent had any problems because of it. You will also run into problems with the center CVD's because the dynamites have the CV at the diff rather than at the tranny like MIP's. I was able to shim the diff drive cup to fit the tranny output shaft but it took some work, It is possible too make all your stuff work but you will need to modify and tweak a few things.

| thanks for the reply buzzsaw. well i thought about trimming the ARMS but mine are alum- and man i hate to cut them.i talked to some guys at UE And they said i needed there outdrive cups because there longer so iv ordered them. but i think there is still some modifing to be done from what iv read the hole in the bulkless case will be to small for them to fit through. so some cutting there will have to be done. im going to called FLM and talk to Jamie to see if i can send my stuff to him and let him cut them because if you cut to much it will get into the bearing housing. and lol thats what i would probly do. and yea i hadnt even thought about the drive shafts from the trans. lol this may turn into a winter project. lol i hope not . i may have to yell back at you if you dont mind and glad you got yours going.

Feel free to drop me a note any time, I'll help as much as possible over the net! I dont blame you for not wanting to cut alloy arms I didnt feel a bit bad about doing it with my RPM's my Lunsford turn buckles were more stressfull. I had never heard the UE cups are longer only that they are thicker? I hope they work out! What engine you running? I'm having a heck of a time getting my tranny to hold up while retaining reverse!

If you want to send your bulks in for modification that would be fine. But if you could send the UE drive cups in with it so we can see how much needs to be removed. Once we have the measuement we need from the drive cups all Hybrid bulks will have a larger opening to allow the cups to fit. You can send the bulks back to the address on the site under "info".

We have another solution for the buggy diff in the Hybrid bulk. We have an alternate for the short drive cup. What we have is an axle that we designed that will fit in the buggy diff and will allow you to use any axle combination available by using the drive cups that came with the axles. The cost for these is $6.00 a pair. I will try and get the pic posted on the site. The plus side to this is a lower cost for buggy diffs. We have found the Hot Bodies Lightning diff to be the best one to go with.

Posted By swavage on 7/18/2006 9:51:25 PM buzzsaw did you us dynamite cinter drive shafts? Sorry havent been here in a few weeks, I used an RD logics center front CVD and I have a UE Ti rear dog bone. I dont recomend going this route though it took some fitting to get the front CVD to work with the 1/8 scale diff. It has held up fine for me but I was lucky to find a piece of brass tube in my scrap box that worked pretty well to shim the CV portion of the shaft to my tranny output.

| I ran into the same thing using rd logics cvds. The solution I came up with was to use the bones off of a Monster GT with the outer axle from my original cvds. Works good with no binding (checked without shocks attached) and don't come anywhere near falling out. I believe the bones are availible through Tower. Good luck

I've learned from experience that RD logic and Dynamite CVD's are plain junk. Use MIP, or UE CVD's.
